    How do you get your Negatives to us

  • You can visit our Arana Hills office. We keep very flexible hours and drop-offs & pickups can be made 7 days a week before or after work, just ring to let us know. Click here for details..
  • You can post the Negatives to us. We highly recommend you use either Registered post or Express post so you have some means of tracking your parcel. We also advise you to place a backing sheet of cardboard if posting them in an envelope to ensure they do not get bent, also wrap them in bubble wrap or some padding.   • You can use a courier company to deliver your parcel. Couriers Please, Fastways, TNT etc, are all familiar with our location.

What type of Negatives do you scan:

The are a quite a few different types of negatives however we only scan one common type which is 35mm.
We do however scan some medium and large format negatives and transparances, ring us for details
The image below shows what a 35mm negative strips looks like, note the 2 rows of sprocket holes.
The formats on the right are shown for comparison we do not scan those formats.

NB!  Do not handle the Negatives with your fingers as they will leave marks... always wear gloves!

Restrictions on what  35mm Negatives are scanned for the standard price:

The $1.10 price per image (minimum quantity 50) has the following conditions... so please read!

# The negatives must be in strips of between 3 and 6 images (except the start and end of the film roll which may have less)

# All negatives on the strip are scanned (except blank).You cannot select individual images.

#  The negatives must be in good condition and reasonably flat, not curled or buckled.

# Negatives that are still in a roll can be scanned but at the higher rate of  $1.60 per image. (they are cut in to strips)

# Negatives that have not been stored in individual sleeves will undoubtedly have scratches on them. We will still scan these for the $1.10 price but be aware that your digital images may have white dots & scratches on them. We do our best to remove them but often there are to many to correct for our standard price.

Scanning Negatives in a specific order

#  If the negatives are in individual sleeves  like above, then just number the top off each sheet.

# If the negatives are all together in a paper pouch you can place them in order by looking at the numbers on the negatives as shown below. Please remember to wear gloves and let us know you want them in a specific order.

What happens if I don’t receive the delivery or if I have a problem with the Scanning.
It is important that you contact us inside 14 days of the goods leaving our office as we keep copies of all your images for your job for 14 days. So far we’ve never had a lost delivery but if it did happen we could supply you with a replacement copy.
