    How do you get your Slides to us

  • You can visit our Arana Hills office. We keep very flexible hours and drop-offs & pickups can be made 7 days a week before or after work, just ring to let us know. Click here for details..
  • You can post the slides to us. We highly recommend you use either Registered post or Express post so you have some means of tracking your parcel. We also suggest wrapping them in bubble wrap or padding and ensure no containers can open up. Click here for our mailing address details
     
  • You can use a courier company to deliver your parcel. Couriers Please, Fastways, TNT etc, are all familiar with our location.

     Best way to bundle your slides

  • We accept slides in almost all containers including slide carousels, slide boxes, A4 pouches and even loose.  If your posting obviously the cost of shipping large carousels or wooden slide boxes can be expensive and would also incur extra return postage. So if you are going to remove them from the containers then the the way we like to receive them is in bundles of 24 with a rubber band around each bundle.

What type of Slides do you scan:

We scan every type of slide produced that went into 50mm slide projectors, so unless you have incredibly rare slide formats or enjoy the technical side there is no need to read the following info. Just drop into our office or post your slides to us. Feel free to ring  us on 07-3351-4945 if you have any questions

Here are the various slide formats that we scan

4-slide-types
  • The four slides types above  makeup over 98% of all the slides we scan and are transferred for 90 cents each.
     
  • The three slide types below (very rare) have larger images and can still be scanned but a surcharge may apply so please call us if you have more than a doxen of these slide types scanned. In over 7 years of slide scanning this has never happened
     
  • Most blue or blue/white Plastic mount slides are fine however a very rare few like the one shown below causes us problems : If you have a more than a dozen of these over thick mounts please call us as there maybe a surcharge applied to scan them. In over 7 years of slide scanning this has only happened once. 
     
  • Only slides with standard 50mm mounts can be scanned.

Scanning slides in a specific order

If  you don’t care what order we scan your slides in Please Tell Us as it allows us to sort the slides in a more efficient way
 

!!! PLEASE READ !!! 
We are happy to scan your slides in order as long as you understand the following requirements  


# If supplied in slide trays, slide boxes or carousels where each slide slot has a specific number you simply need to clearly number each box or carousel in the order to be scanned

# If the container does not have slide numbers and the order we scan the contents is important , you need to make it clear to us what is the first slide and what is the last slide. If you are marking the lids of containers make sure they are secure.

# If supplying them without containers, bundle them in lots of 24 and put a rubber band around them and slip a piece of paper under the top of the pile with the bundle number on it. we scan from top to bottom.

# VERY IMPORTANT There are a 4 slide types below make up almost all the slides we scan.
The image size varies (not the slide mount)  It’s far to time consuming for us to change image sizes while scanning.

So if we encounter a different image size that slide or slides are separated and scanned last. Slides that are separated are not returned to there original storage boxes and will not be in numeric picture order as they will have the last picture numbers.

Slides with over thick mounts (see image above) are always separated and scanned last.

What happens if I don’t receive the delivery or if I have a problem with the Scanning.

It is important that you contact us inside 14 days of the goods leaving our office as we keep copies of all your images for  14 days. So far we’ve never had a lost delivery but if it did happen we could supply you with a replacement copy.
